{glitter}
Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 7:18PM I LOVE GLITTER!
Top reasons why I love glitter:
1. Reminds me of my childhood
2. It sparkles (who doesn't love things that sparkle?)
3. It comes in every colour
4. MARTHA uses it all the time
So, seeing that I love glitter so much, I had to incorporate it into my wedding! It totally went with the theme, glitz and glamour, and was so fun to do, right Katie?!
I used it on our adult and kiddy menu's, they were a huge hit and it was super easy to do. The best part is you don't have to be super creative...just print out whatever it is that you would like to glitter and trace over it! My favourite glitter is Martha Stewart's Glitter (obviously) and it comes in a zillion colours. You can buy them in a huge pack of 24, or in smaller packs of 3 monochromatic colours. They also come with a little glue pen, but I opted to buy the Fine Tip Glue Pen and the Artists Glue Pen...both work very well.

So here's what your gotta do...
1. Print out whatever it is that you want to glitter
2. Prepare a tray (I use a baking pan) with a piece of parchment (or other) paper inside.
3. Trace over what you want to be glittered
4. Put into pan and pour a generous amount of glitter onto the glued area
5. Wait a few seconds, then flip paper over and tap against the pan to remove access glitter
6. When you're done glittering, fold paper in half and pour extra glitter back into the container
7. VOILA!
tip** if you have gaps that filled in, or letters are touching that aren't supposed to be, use a toothpick and after it has dried slightly just remove the glitter from those spots.
I think this project would look amazing for table numbers, menus, invitations, signs and sooooo much more!

Hey! I followed your post from your WBC account where I follow you. :) I wondered what the scripty font is you used on your menus. I think I have it and even remember using it once, but I can't remember the name and don't want to sift through all my zillions of fonts. lol. Isn't that terribly of me? Anyway. If you remember what it is would you mind reminding me? :)
LOVE them by the way. Made me rethink my simple menus... might want to try something with a little more "WOW" now. lol.
SOooo cute! thanks :)
